Phase I

• Derek
  • Presented Slides
  • PR#22 set to merge dev branch into main → Pinged Karthik on PR, will ping him on Slack later today, and then will close & open new PR if haven’t heard back

• (Cynthia) Adding objectives took significant amount of time to implement per stage

  • (Derek): Performing as expected? Anything missing or blocking?
  • (Cynthia) - Comparing to DRICH MOBO outputs to validate (# jobs, outputs, objective collection, etc)
  • (Cynthia) - Objective plan steps (detector specific payloads) should be supported now
  • (Cynthia) - tried to go through examples and update naming conventions, remove stale/legacy things not used anymore
  • (Derek) - examples can be updated after tests for the paper - legacy code removal will be important for v0.0.0
  • (Cynthia) - CLI still does not own the ePIC workflow - DRICH specific stuff needs to be separated first
  • (Amit) - ePIC specific meaning reconstruction, simulation, etc?
  • (Amit) - CLI does general things, other workflows done through more specialized scripts?
  • (Derek) - CLI currently can communicate with the interface in such a way that all relevant driver - scripts are created like BIC MOBO
  • (Cynthia) - scheduler cascade allows choice of scheduler for specific stages (i.e., quick things use Joblib instead of slurm)

• Derek - Timeline for paper

  • Last stages of implementing CLI - PR#59 merged by end of next week`
  • Testing could start at this time
  • (Amit) - is PR#57 already enough?
    • Now you can run AID2E optimization with a dtlz2 test on the joblib backend.
  • (Cynthia) - PR#57 prepares for PR#59 - added functionality

Phase II

• Amit - perlmutter is still down (August 3rd will resume work)
• Update from last week:
  • Testing the mcp-framework with the vllm compliant models. However the error still persists.
  • Had a meeting with James. He had some success using open model hosted in vllm-server in W&M cluster. He shared the configuration that he used in vscode. Currently looking at his implementations.
  • Got access to the idds machine in npps to host the MCP-Server. Next step is to host the MCP-Server in the idds machine with the available port number.
• (Cris) - Other activities are underway
